This unique braided Cord of Three™ ring was designed by Todd for the Christian community after receiving calls from couples who were looking for handwoven wedding rings as depicted in the Bible:
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

For many this braid represents two people on their journey together entwined by love. Couples have expressed their own symbolism in the Cord of Three ring by picking different colored golds to represent themselves (couple strands) and God/Love (God strand) holding them together.
Every Cord of Three™ ring is completely customizable. You decide which metals to use for each strand:
Couple Strand #1 — choose any gold or platinum
Couple Strand #2 — choose any gold or platinum
God/Love Strand — choose the metal that symbolizes what holds you together
Each strand can be any color — mix two tones or three for a braid that’s uniquely yours.

Many couples choose to have their rings woven from the very same braid — a powerful and romantic symbol of two lives intertwined. Todd begins by hand-braiding one continuous strand of metal, then crafts each ring from that shared braid so they are forever connected.
To do this, both rings must have the same braid and the same braid colors.
Outer bands can still be different — the shared braid is always at the heart of the design.
This meaningful detail has been cherished by many couples, with some even weaving it into their vows during the ceremony. It is offered as a heartfelt option at no additional charge, and we automatically do it when both rings in the same order meet these details. If you’d like to be certain, simply leave us a note or comment when ordering, or email us after placing your order.

We’ve phased out white gold because it’s usually rhodium-plated to look bright white, but we can’t plate our woven rings without covering all the metals. Since we often mix multiple metal colors like yellow gold, rose gold, and platinum, plating would turn the whole ring white—and it wears off over time! Natural white gold has a slight yellow tint, which wasn’t what many customers expected.
Platinum is a better choice—it’s naturally bright white and never needs plating.
That said, we’re happy to make a ring with white gold if you prefer! Just email us at todd@handwovenbands.com with the ring you want, and we’ll send you a quote.
Left: White Gold (slightly yellow)
Right: Platinum (bright white, never fades)

Sterling silver is beautiful and affordable, but naturally weakens over time and can become brittle with everyday wear. For a lasting heirloom, consider gold or platinum options above.
Our Trinity Engagement Ring is woven in Todd’s unique Cord of Three™ braid and then set with three diamonds. Many see these diamonds represent the Holy Trinity or the past, present, and future.
